Freya was recently a guest on Alison Hoenes’ podcast series ‘How Fitting’, for the episode ‘Fashion as Skincare and Self-Awareness’…
“It’s just night and day between synthetics and natural fibres for swimwear especially I think, the whole swimwear industry has been very focused on making you look good and not really thinking about how you feel wearing it” - Freya
You can listen to the full Solpardus story with Freya and Alison here.

Solpardus & King Charles III
In November 2023, Solpardus was thrilled to be selected as one of the organisations to be featured in
His Majesty at 75: The Leadership and Vision of King Charles III
As a proud British small business we are delighted to be recognised in this way. Solpardus is the first clothing brand to put a focus on both timeless style and skin comfort, with our British made bamboo swimwear and linen clothing. Sustainability, ethical manufacturing and innovation are at the core of our brand and we feel this aligns us perfectly with The King’s vision for the future.
Following his coronation, King Charles celebrated another historic milestone on 14 November 2023 – his 75th birthday – and St James’s House was thrilled to launch a beautifully designed, fully illustrated commemorative book on the day in honour of His Majesty. The hardback publication was unveiled at Claridge’s in London to an audience of 400 attending guests and press (including Solpardus!)
At over 500 pages, this coffee-table-style book charts King Charles’s life, from his celebrated birth and early years, through to his role and responsibilities as the Prince of Wales, to his accession and coronation as king. The book reflects on the ideas he has championed, and how he intends to shape the monarchy of today and tomorrow. It also presents examples of achievement and progress during his lifetime across social, cultural, technological and commercial spheres, highlighting the work of selected organisations (including Solpardus!!)
This insightful new book has been written by King Charles’s biographer Robert Jobson, a number one New York Times and Sunday Times best-selling author and royal correspondent. Jobson has chronicled the House of Windsor for more than 30 years and is recognised internationally for his in-depth knowledge of the Royal Family. The publication features a wide selection of photographs by renowned royal photographer Arthur Edwards MBE, who is credited with having taken some of the most significant and memorable photos of the Royal Family of the past four decades. Edwards has captured more than 200 royal tours across some 120 countries, and has been behind the lens for no fewer than seven royal weddings, four royal funerals and seven royal births.
